Is Swiss Mutual Fund & Swiss Cash a Scam?
I was reading the readers’ letters section in our local newspaper recently where a guy wrote in voicing his concern over the authorities’ negative attitude towards the Internet investment schemes that are becoming the latest craze here in Malaysia.
I can’t recall exactly what he wrote but it went something like these schemes offer an opportunity for the low income group to improve their livelihood while participating in the country’s ICT development.. The authorities plans to crackdown these scheme were unwarranted according to him.
I have nothing against improving livelihood through ICT but what concern me was he didn’t realise those schemes got him off on the wrong foot.
Swiss Mutual Fund or Swiss Cash is one of the most popular of such schemes that promise big returns.
Swiss Cash claims to offer a 300 percent returns on investment in just 15 months, an amazing offering for any investment company - especially from one which has only started operating in 2005. This sounds too good to be true and like most things, it probably is. Here’s why.
Confusing facts about Swiss Mutual Fund & Swiss Cash scheme.
- The website claims Swiss Mutual Fund was founded in 1948. It’s baffling to see that their web presence just started in 2005. The SwissMutualFund.Biz domain name was registered in Jun 12 2005 for only one year.
An answered I obtained from a self-replicating affiliate website explains this shouldn’t be a concern to investors as the domain name is renewed automatically every year. OK, but I don’t understand why an established company which supposedly in it for the long run would choose to auto-renew their domain name instead of pre-registering it for several years in advance.
The whois info shows that the domain was transferred to another server on Jun 21 2006 and later the expiration date was extended to 2011. It contains fake contact information too.
- Swiss Mutual Fund owns three websites which are SwissMutualFund.biz, SwissCash.net and SwissCash.biz. Swiss Cash is an investment scheme managed by Swiss Mutual Fund.
To the untrained eyes, the main website at SwissMutualFund.biz is a well designed site belongs to a well established investment company. To me it’s filled with a mediocre sales pitch trying to sell some vague and suspicious investment scheme which guarantees large returns. The website is filled with pictures of people and images unrelated to the company. They even try to make it looks legitimate by including stock market performance charts obtained from Yahoo.
Swisscash & Other Scams: Why some `Investors` are still making money today?
To put it more correctly, it is a HYIP (High Yield Investment Program) or a Ponzi scheme.
How to tell a if a program is a scam or not?
Very Simple.
A genuine business will normally give no more than 15% return in a year to its investors. This is a number agreed by many experts. 15% is already considered above than average.
That means a little over 1% a month.
However scams like HYIP give as much as 1% return everyday!! That is 365% a year!!
So Swisscash is a scam right?
Wait a minute!
One of my friends who “invested” a moderate amount of money in Swisscash in 2005 still earn RM300-500 a month now!
He even logged in his Swisscash account and showed me his earnings (as of Jan 2007).
This really puzzled me!
Swisscash is a scam and some of the people involved (money launderers) have been arrested in Malaysia.
However, as of today, my friend is still making money from it.
(When he “invested” in swisscash 15 months ago, it was fairly new in Malaysia.)
Then I spent a few days searching online why confirmed scams like swisscash still work even till today. Then I contacted him again if there is really a HYIP that I can "invest" to become rich quickly.
It became clear to me.
The reason Swisscash and other scam is still alive is because the sheer number of new people getting online nowadays. There are always new visitors from countries as far as Mongolia & Uzbekistan that just discovered Internet today. And they will be the newer investors who will fall prey to this age-old scam.
However, because of the online nature of this scam, it is just a matter of time before another company devise a newer scam with higher return and attract money from the existing "Investors". As the newer HYIP scams rise, the older scams getting flat, before gradually collapse.
Back to my friend. First he told me to invest in another HYIP which give a better offer than Swisscash (it is called eBarrel). He admitted Swisscash is not as good as it was a few years ago.
A few weeks later he contacted me again and tell me to invest in another HYIP which is, in turn, better than eBarrel. He also admit that he is getting less from eBarrel as his downlines (or network of members) are more interested in a newer HYIP scheme which pays daily at higher rate.
Can we guess what is next?
In a few months time, he will contact me again suggesting yet another HYIP to invest.
Stay away from anything that pays high return. As a general rule of thumb, if a company pays more than 15% return annually, it is most likely a HYIP Scam.

When did SwissCash starts?
SwissCash is a project pioneered in the year 2005 as a sector of Swiss Mutual Fund (1948) S.A.
Why an offshore investment?
Offshore countries offer a more flexible financial environment, taxation scheme and regulations for Swiss's clients; thus a more stable and higher returns on their investment. You would not want your 300% SIP be reduced to 150% because the particular country in which we operates, imposed a 50% corporate tax on SwissCash.
Why SwissCash is able to offer such high return for SIP Programs?
Put it this way. If an investor invest USD1,000,000 with Swiss Mutual Fund and we promise to trade his money in International Market today and yield him back USD1,010,000 in one Trading Day, it will be considered a low return. Bare in mind, 10,000 returns on 1,000,000 is 1% per day. On average, there are 20 Trading Days per 30 Calendar days. Therefore, SwissCash SIP payment of 20% per calendar month is a moderate return rate. International Banks such as Citibank occasionally offer Investors a 700% returns per annum for a minimum of USD10 million deposits.
Why SwissCash wants to set up a business module of mass participation? Since Swiss Mutual Fund has excellent business model, why need so many investors whose quantum of investment range from USD100 to USD100,000?
We have to look back to SwissCash Vision that is to create millionaires out of ordinary individual in many corners of the world. We hope these Swiss Millionaires will continue to support future financial products offered by SMF.

SwissCash NEXT?
Hello Readers,
I hate to write this one but then this keep puzzling me over the weekends. Few days back, I got a phonecalls from one of my good friend asking me why SwissCash in the SCAM section in our NOGOLD forum. He said that SwissCash has big empire and things like this can brings up major questionable between members.
I told him maybe our Mods put it there for some reason since I am not monitoring much on the forum accept managing the NoGold ECX and trade most in WannaGold for those who wants faster, and reliable service exchanging e-gold.
As I remember it is not our Mods also who move the thread but the poster has started the post there for whatever reason he may have. He has right to do so to discuss and claim whatever perspective he has and NoGold has been a good place for “intelectual argument” taking place all this while.
Perhaps less mistake will be made while people hungering to make money online which I see new faces everyday.
Later tonite, I got another phone call by somebody else and inform about some bad news about this SwissCash thing. What a coincident!
SwissCash now under the eyes of the regulator after they found out previous CRMbank fraud actually propose at least to 40% loaned money from a local bank to invest into SwissCash.
I hope I get this info wrong since I know most people dont get back their capital yet accept those who earns from 10% referal commission and 10% pairing bonus. The rest are still within their 8 months capital back waiting periods. As I understood, all the big players already pump out the money outside Malaysia. And now the leaders are moving to something else while someone has to be the scapegoat. LOL. Like always.
I also have 100 dollars invested inside SwissCash. I never refer people into SwissCash since the result of my due diligence has failed big time.
I still hope this is some kind of April Fool information from trusted and reliable friends and hoping that SwissCash will be around at in 2007.
